Recommendation: During the Npcap setup, check the box to "Install Npcap in WinPcap API-compatible mode" if you use older network tools alongside Wireshark.
If you ever update Wireshark and lose capture ability, download Npcap directly from npcap.com – make sure to check “WinPcap compatible mode” during setup.
