Launched in November 2011, this "Easter egg" was designed by a Google software engineer to showcase the power of CSS3 , a web technology that allows for complex animations and visual transformations directly in the browser.

It is one of Google’s most famous "Easter eggs," a hidden feature programmed into the browser as a nod to the Nintendo game Star Fox 64 (where the character Peppy Hare instructs you to do the maneuver).
