The spinning circle vanished. The Excel window shuddered, blinked, and miraculously refreshed. A pop-up appeared: Connection Restored.
If an app is already open, right-click its icon on the taskbar and select Pin to taskbar .
When the interface fails, the Taskbar remains. Windows Key + T places the focus on the taskbar, allowing you to use arrow keys and Enter to launch apps or tools—like Task Manager or Command Prompt—even when the rest of Windows is unresponsive.
"Most people don't," Kendra said, turning to leave. "They stare at the screen and wait. They forget that the Taskbar is the cockpit, not just a storage shelf." She paused at the door and winked. "Win+T. Don't forget it. And maybe save your work more often, yeah?"
