For a Khutbah to be valid according to the majority of scholars, it must meet the following criteria:
Alhamdu lillahi nahmaduhu wa nasta’eenuhu wa nastaghfiruh, wa na’udhu billahi min shururi anfusina wa min sayyi’ati a’malina. Man yahdihillahu fala mudilla lah, wa man yudlil fala hadiya lah. Wa ashhadu an la ilaha illallah wahdahu la sharika lah, wa ashhadu anna Muhammadan ‘abduhu wa rasuluh.
Alhamdulillah ‘ala kulli hal, wa salallahu ‘ala Muhammadin wa ‘ala alihi wa sahbihi wa sallam.
Gratitude also means using our blessings to help others. If Allah gave you wealth, give charity. If He gave you knowledge, teach. If He gave you strength, help the weak. If He gave you a tongue, speak the truth and defend the oppressed.
"O you who believe, fear Allah as He should be feared and die not except in a state of Islam."
