Windows 7 extended support ended in 2020. Alps drivers for Win7 are legacy software. If you must keep Windows 7, using Group Policy or Driver Install – Do not allow to prevent Windows Update from breaking it. For security, consider moving to Windows 10 or Linux (where Alps touchpads work via psmouse kernel module with basic support).
