These tools allowed for real-time instancing, enabling artists to populate surfaces with thousands of objects or create complex mechanical patterns that remained editable.

4R7 was the first version to offer an optional 64-bit preview, allowing the software to utilize more system RAM and handle significantly higher polygon counts (up to 100 million per SubTool).
