The LAN room fell silent. The earlier banter evaporated, replaced by the frantic clicking of mice. The air in the cybercafé grew stuffy, mirroring the pollution rising over their virtual cities.
"Stop lagging out, Marcus! My quartz is sitting on the dock rotting!" a voice shouted from three computers down.
"Voltage check," Elias teased, his voice crackling through the Teamspeak overlay. "My Engineers are drinking schnapps while your Artisans are still complaining about soap."
Strictly speaking, Anno 1800 does not support offline LAN play or system link. To play together—even if you are in the same room—every player must have an active internet connection to authenticate via Ubisoft Connect .
